Don Soker Contemporary Art which began in 1971 is pleased to announce a move to a new space in the heart of San Francisco’s Mission District. The location is in a century old warehouse/loft building occupied by 15 creative and tech businesses. It is at the corner of 20th and Bryant, close to several arts organizions and many restaurants. It is a 15 minute walk from either the 24th or 16th St. BART stations or the 22,33,or 55 bus from 16th St. to the 27 at Bryant. 2 hour metered parking is not difficult. Please use the intercom at the door. An opening exhibition will be held in two parts, the first, with an artists’ reception on Saturday July 11th from 2-7 pm will feature locally based gallery artists: Julie Alland, Tom Bills, Peter Boyer, Van Chang, Christel Dillbohner, Robin Hill, Carole Jeung, Theodora Varnay Jones, Rose Ponting, Dimitra Skandali, and Blake Summers. The second part will begin Saturday August 15th for artists who are based outside the Bay Area: Susanne Schossig, Shoichi Seino, Gordon Senior, Judith Maloney, Victoria May, Tetsuya Noda, Eleanor Wood, and Yutaka Yoshinaga.
