Don Soker Contemporary Art began in 1972 and generally
exhibits works with a minimal or reductive quality with a strong emphasis
on innovative technique and concept. The gallery shows a limited number
of mid-career and internationally established artists as well as a few
emerging artists of exceptional ability.
About half of the gallery artists are based in northern California with most
of the others from Japan or Europe. Media exhibited includes works on paper,
installation, painting and dimensional work. |

The gallery is located on the 4th floor at 49 Geary Street near the intersection
of Kearny and Market Streets. It is very close to either the Montgomery or Powell
BART stations. |
